El Puente de la Mujer, the Woman's Bridge, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Buenos Aires. It was designed by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava, who also built the famed City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain (his birthplace). Being the first of only two structures by this architect in Latin America, he described this bridge as an image of a couple dancing the tango.
